i’ve got to wait until the layers dry and i get better light…. and some time to reflect on them.
that probably means it won’t ever be finished.
there is something about this year plus long project that makes me feel horribly fake. then there is the fact that it makes me feel horribly anything, and i can’t help but think that MUST be a really good thing.
i never really thought that strength, wisdom, love, compassion, and patience could make me feel so incredibly uncomfortable.

I’ve been working on this piece almost daily since C left and took his (unfinished) guitar with him. Since I didn’t have a daunting painting intensive task anymore, I made a new one, but made myself commit to progress on it too. Its big (2’ x 4’) and it’s a rough surfacfe with a lot of texture, so it will be cool when it’s done but a lot of detail between now & then.
